AFTERNOON KENNEL ATTENDANT (please fill out our application)
This position involves working afternoons, weekends and holidays.  Duties include caring for boarding animals, and general hospital cleaning tasks. This position requires a strong attention to detail and self-motivated individual. No afternoon kennel attendant positions available at this time.

RECEPTIONIST Full-time (please include a hand-written letter of interest, our application and resume)
Receptionists must be able to multi-task, work well independently as well as part of a team, and have excellent people skills! Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone and emails, welcoming new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of electronic and written medical records, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation and data entry, financial transactions, filing, inventory maintenance and front office and reception area maintenance. We prefer to hire receptionists with Veterinary (or other medical) experience, but will train the right person. We require that all our employees be flexible with regard to scheduling. Must be able to lift 40# independently. Morning Kennel Attendant/Technician Assistant (please fill out our application)
This position involves working in the M-F mornings (including some holidays and occasional weekends) from 7am to 9am or as needed until all pets have been cared for.  Duties include caring for boarding animals, and our cats, general hospital cleaning tasks as well as assisting our technicians with patient care.  This position also involves some light office work (phone calls, paperwork, light computer work.)  This position requires a patient, morning person who is detail oriented. Qualified candidates must be able to lift 40#, have nice handwriting, have reliable transportation and work well independently and with a team. No Morning Kennel Attendant/Technician Assistant positions available.

CERTIFIED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

CVTs have become certified by the State of Wisconsin in Veterinary Technology. CVTs are responsible for assisting the doctors, laboratory procedures (cytology, UA etc), anesthesia induction and monitoring, radiology, dental prophylaxis, client communication, pharmacy operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment,daily treatment of hospitalized patients, assisting in surgery and maintenance of the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs. We look for employees who work well independently, but enjoy being part of a team. VETERINARY ASSISTANT (please include a letter of interest, our application and resume)
Veterinary Assistants are not required to be certified, but we generally require previous veterinary experience or a college degree. Their duties are similar to those of a CVT, but are more limited. Veterinary Assistants assist doctors and CVT’s in all areas of the hospital from exam rooms to surgery. Assistants also work closely with our receptionists, performing many clerical duties as well. We look for candidates who work well with others, but enjoy being part of a team. Applicants must be able to lift 40# independently.  It is important that Veterinary Assistants be able to work well independently.
