Tour Fox River Animal Hospital
The Fox River Animal Hospital underwent a major facelift in 2011. We went into the project with green in mind. We worked hard to create the best environment possible for the health and well being of our patients as well as our team. Our newly remodeled clinic features recycled rubber flooring, new fluorescent, compact fluorescent and LED lighting throughout the building, zero VOC paints as well as all new sustainable wood furniture.
Seating Area
One of two seating areas in our open reception area.
Product Display and More Seating
Our retail area features food, supplements, toys and treats that we recommend.
Reception Desk
Our new reception desk is ADA compliant and allows our team to work with more than one client at a time.
Meow - Cats only exam room
This room is for cats only, keeping doggies out helps our kitty patients to feel less anxious.
Woof - Dogs only exam room
The Woof room was once Dr. Shepherd's office! This large room offers the floor space for big dog exams.
Purr - multi-species exam room
This room is great for families with dogs and cats together. The end of the table folds down allowing more room to move.
Howl - multi-species exam room
This room is used most often for dogs. The exam table is on wheels and can be removed allowing us more floor space to work with big doggies!
Shhh - Quiet room
A quiet area for consultation and end of life care.
Treatment room
The hub of the hospital for treatments, surgical prep and dental procedures.
Treatment cages
This is where hospitalized pets and those recovering from anesthesia stay while at FRAH.
Laboratory
Though this was once a kennel, our bright new lab is where we analyze urine, blood and fecal specimens as well as performing cytology.
Surgical Suite
This is where our surgeries are performed using sterile instruments and supplies.
X-ray
Radiographs are taken and processed quickly - the cute kitty is Beeto Shepherd!
Cat boarding room
Kitties who stay with us are housed in this room between our offices and the lab area keeping them separate from noisy dogs.
Bathing area
Our bathtub relocated from the area that is now Dr. Shepherd's office to this spot at the end of the dog boarding room - the cute doggie is Arlo Shepherd!
Small dog boarding
We reduced the number of boarders we take in so that we can spend more time with each pooch. Dogs are walked outside three times each day.
Large dog boarding
Our new glass front runs and epoxy floors allow us to keep everything spic and span.
